Unemployment Latest

Published torsdag 14 december 2006 kl 12.40

Sweden’s unemployment rate fell to 4.3 percent of the work force in November from 4.6 percent in October, mainly due to temporary jobs and more women workers.

The national statistics agency said there were 199,000 unemployed in Sweden last month, while the number of employed amounted to 4.37 million.

A growing construction sector and more temporary jobs helped boost the employment figures, while more women are also joining the work force, the agency said.
