Swedish Teacher Attends Holocaust Denial Conference

Published torsdag 14 december 2006 kl 12.46

A Swedish schoolteacher has been criticised for taking part at a holocaust denial conference in Iran organized by the country’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The teacher of computer science in Stockholm addressed the conference on Monday, giving a lecture entitled ”The Holocaust Demography”, in which he said that only 300,000 jews died at the hands of the Nazis rather than the acknowledged figure of six million.

The Swedish Committee against anti-semitism condemned the visit whilst the teacher’s school head said she knew nothing of the conference and wouldn’t want any of her teachers to take part.
