Sida Under Scrutiny

Published tisdag 2 januari 2007 kl 11.36

The Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation, Sida, has come under scrutiny after paying out more than US$ 2 million without really specifying what the money was used for.

Most of the money was paid to consultants in connection for a project in Congo Kinshasa.

It is neither known how many consultants were used for the project or how their fees of just under US$ 2 million were established.

SIDA is a government agency under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and its focus is to work with and Swedish international development cooperation and aide.
