Four young people from this Moroccan neighborhood carried out suicide attacks in Iraq

A Swedish businessman has reportedly gone on trial in Morocco, charged with terrorist links.

According to the newspaper “Dagens Nyheter”, the 54 year old holds both Swedish and Moroccan citizenship, and has lived in Sweden for thirty years. He was arrested the day after Christmas.

The Moroccan authorities say 26 people were detained, accused of being members of a cell that recruited volunteers to carry out terrorist attacks in Iraq.

The Swedish Embassy in Rabat has sent a representative to the trial, but Morocco has never officially notified the Swedish authorities of the arrest.
