Published tisdag 8 maj 2007 kl 11.45

At the World Ice Hockey Championships, Sweden went down to a 4-2 defeat against Russian in their top-of-the-table Group E clash in Moscow Monday.

The hosts kept their 100 percent record, chasing their first world title since 1993 on home ice.

Russia finished top of the group and will now take on 2005 champions the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals. The Swedes will face Slovakia.
