Fredrik Reinfeldt with George Bush in the Oval Office

In our look back at some of the stories we’ve been covering over the past week:

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has been in the United States for meetings with the Secretary General of the United Nations, President George W. Bush, and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Defence Minister Mikael Odenberg has been in the news, calling for the abolition of general conscription in peacetime, and claiming that Swedish cluster bombs are safer than other country’s cluster bombs.

We find out why more and more Swedes are suffering from hearing problems.

The Director General of Swedish Radio, Peter Örn, resigns.

Closing music: ”Waterloo” by ABBA
