The controversial American filmmaker Michael Moore has attacked the Swedish government for opening Sweden’s health service up to more private sector involvement.

Moore, known for his left-wing views, made his comments while attending the Cannes film festival in southern France. He said he was ”sorry to hear” the Swedish government was ”selling out public healthcare.”

Moore said he thought the center-right government would lose the next general elections as a result of the changes.

Moore is in Cannes to promote his new film ”SiCKO” which criticises the American healthcare system.
