Young Swedes Less Than Happy

Published onsdag 30 maj 2007 kl 13.06

According to a poll conducted by music channel MTV, Sweden’s young people are an unhappy bunch.

The survey, carried out among some 5,200 16 to 34 year-olds, showed that many young Swedes were unhappy, worried about the future, and self-centered.

Only 30 percent of the Swedes said they were happy, compared to 75 percent in Argentina. A mere 15 percent said they saw Swedish society and culture developing in a positive way, while almost 70 percent of repondents in India said they saw their society getting better and better.
