Published fredag 3 augusti 2007 kl 11.29
Stockholm Pride 2007

For the first time in the history of Stockholm Pride, the Church of Sweden will have representatives of the church and clergy marching in the annual parade.

Some 30 members of the church will march under the banner ”Love is the greatest thing of all.”

According to minister Karin Bosbach the Lutheran former state church wants to show that the Church of Sweden is for the people and that everyone is welcome.

Besides members of the gay community, supporters including the deans of Uppsala and Stockholm cathedrals will also march under the church’s banner. Pride parade organizers expect some 500,000 spectators this Saturday.
