Six Records Broken in DN-Gala

Susanna Kallur edges Michelle Perry in the 100 meter hurdles

In Tuesday’s DN-Galan, the largest annual athletics track and field event in Sweden, six athletes set new records.

They were Jeremy Wariner in the men’s 400 meters and Allyson Felix in the women’s, Paul Kipsiele Koech in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Blanka Vlasic in the high jump, Aries Merriet in the 110 meter hurdles and Kenenisa Bekele in the 3000 meters.

Successful Swedish athletes in this Super Grand Prix included Susanna Kallur who beat American Michelle Perry in the 100 meter hurdles, and Stefan Holm who topped the high jump with 2 metres and 35 centimeters.
