Swedish Aid to Earthquake Victims
Swedish help is on its way to Peru which was hit by an earthquake last week leaving at least 500 people dead and tens of thousands homeless.
The Swedish Rescue Services Agency is sending a transport plane from Gothenburg, carrying tents and other necessary equipment for earthquake victoms.
The 93 tents are going to Pisco, south of Lima and they can hold around 600 people altogether. Along with the tens are heaters, blankets, tarpaulins, sleeping bags and water purifying equipment.
