Swedish Hunters Shoot Killer Bear

Published tisdag 9 oktober 2007 kl 12.53

Swedish hunters have shot a bear that killed a 50-year-old hunter and his dog in the forest in southwestern Sweden.

The bodies were found near a hunter’s cabin by colleagues hunting moose or European elk in the area.

Wildlife  experts say it’s very rare that bears attack human beings, but that the bears in the area are starving because of the shortage of wild berries and are coming close to houses in search of food.
