Bus Stops Closed After Youth Threats

Published onsdag 24 oktober 2007 kl 11.16

Union safety officers have closed down around 20 bus stops outside Sweden’s second city, Gothenburg, because of youth violence.

Swedish Radio Gothenburg reports that young people have harassed and threatened bus drivers in the area on their way to and from a local school. There’s also been considerable vandalism on buses.

The bus stops are being closed during those periods of the day before and after school.
