Day care tops satisfaction index
Sweden’s system of highly-subsidised pre-schools, or ”dagis”, for the nation’s under-fives, topped a survey rating 15 services provided by local authorities.
The research, presented by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, shows Swedes are also satisfied with their standard of rubbish collection and health care, which came in second and third respectively.
The service which was voted worst: integration.
Local authorities’ upkeep of roads, social services and ability to keep the public informed were also issues with which the survey’s some 4,500 correspondents were dissatisfied.
