Swede to Head World Women Council

Margot Wallström

Swedish politician Margot Wallström has been appointed president of the Council of Women World Leaders.

Wallström succeeds former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright. In a first reaction Wallström, who also is the Vice-Chairwoman of the European Commission, said she was honored to become head of a global network including so many wise and outstanding women.
