Liberia’s president Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf winds up a three day official visit to Sweden Wednesday.

On Tuesday Africa’s first woman president met Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and addressed the Swedish Parliament. Her talks with Development Cooperation Minister Gunilla Carlsson took up Swedish support for mining and forestry and gender equality issues.

At a press conference Tuesday Prime Minister Reinfeldt said that Liberia’s debt to Sweden will be written off as soon as a go ahead comes from the Paris Club, the informal international association of lender countries.
