Swedish Children Fitter

Published torsdag 29 november 2007 kl 13.04

Swedish children are eating less sweets and more fruit and vegetables, doing more exercise and generally feeling fitter.

But around 5 percent are suffering from depression, and more and more are visiting hospitals for alcohol poisoning, even though the numbers drinking alcohol have fallen.

Those are the mixed results of a new study carried out by the Swedish Children’s Ombudsman. She says things have gotten both better and worse, with the gaps in living standards between the haves and have nots growing in certain cases.
