Gaming Company Acts Without Approval

Published måndag 10 december 2007 kl 10.00

According to Swedish Radio news, state owned gaming company ”Svenska Spel” has broken set rules and started projects without the Swedish governments’ approval.

This includes starting a new gaming company in Lithuania as well as investing in internet cafes and shops. Until now the finance department has rejected all proposals presented to them and have had no insight as to how much the disapproved projects have cost.

At the same time ”Svenska Spel” is accused of specifically targeting low income areas by placing a higher percentage of new gaming machines in these areas compared to that of higher income areas.
