Government Agency Boss Quits

Published onsdag 12 december 2007 kl 13.39

The head of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency is to quit, because she doesn’t agree with government policy.

Inger Efraimsson’s contract runs out in two weeks and she has told Social Insurance Minister Cristina Husmark Pehrsson that she doesn’t want to carry on.

She says an employee has to feel a sense of loyalty towards her employer, and she doesn’t, saying that the govermnent’s plans for the rehabilitation of people on sick leave are too hard.
