Reinfeldt To Walk The Streets

Published onsdag 12 december 2007 kl 13.43
Swedish Prime Minister Fredik Reinfeldt

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has revealed that he intends to join a volunteer parent group on Thursday night to help reduce the amount of fighting and drinking amongst partying youth.

The group will wander throughout the night in the Stockholm suburb of Danderyd. Reinfeldt’s press secretary has denied that this is only a political stunt and said that it is important to him to be present.

Reinfeldt, who is himself a father of a teenager, has previously participated in another volunteer co-operation between parents and students at Täby’s Highschool. Thursday night is Lucia, a celebration in Sweden which is considered to be one of the most chaotic nights in the year.
