Ahead of the official signing of the Lisbon Treaty, Sweden’s government welcomes the planned changes of the European Union’s charter. Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt once again ruled out a referendum on the treaty.

The UN Climate Conference has reached its crucial stage where ministers from some 190 countries are now involved in the sensitive part of the negotiations. There is still a lot that can hinder an agreement.

The Nobel week is ebbing out. But behind the scenes, the gigantic organisation machinery is still at work until the last guest has left Swedish soil.
