Ericsson Faces New Bribery Charges

Published onsdag 19 december 2007 kl 10.20

Telecommunications giant Ericsson faces new charges of bribery.

According to a Swedish Radio news report, the company has paid 3.2 million dollars to a Turkish businessman in order to secure a deal between Ericsson and Turkcell in 1998.

The man who was then a member of Turkcell’s board could have even received up to 82 million dollars for having settled Ericsson’s businesses throughout many years.

Ericsson has already been accused of bribing a member of the Omani government in the early 1990s.
