Bildt Outraged over Bhutto Assassination

Bildt speaking at Sweden's Foreign Ministry after Benazir Bhutto's assassination

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt says he is outraged and angry over what calls the bestial assassination of Pakistani ex- prime minister, Benazir Bhutto – killed by a shot to the neck.

At least 20 others died when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at an election rally.

Bildt adds that it’s clear that there are forces in Pakistan and in the surrounding region opposed to stability and  democratic developments.

The Swedish minister also hopes that that Pakistan will still hold parliamentary elections in January despite the murder.
