Vaccines to Prevent Cervical Cancer

Published fredag 22 februari 2008 kl 11.06

The Swedish Social Welfare Board is expected to come out soon with a recommendation that vaccinations to prevent cervical cancer should be included in the series of vaccinations given to young children in this Nordic nation.

Medical experts in Sweden have earlier called for vaccinations both for young girls and for boys - claiming that boys carrying viruses can contribute to the cancer in the girls and can also develop cancer themselves in their own sex organs.
