Police Act After YouTube Video

Published onsdag 5 mars 2008 kl 10.55

A 30 year old man in southern Sweden is under suspicion for serious weapons offences, after he posted a film of himself on YouTube.

According to the newspaper “Blekinge Läns Tidning” the video shows the 30 year old and another man firing pistols. This led to a search of his apartment in Karlskrona, which the police say turned up a revolver and a Kalashnikov model automatic rifle.

The other man in the YouTube video is is already under arrest for setting off an explosion at a restaurant in Gothenburg.

The police say it is increasingly common for criminals to post films of themselves on the Internet.
