Financial Regulators Need to Pay More

Ingrid Bonde, the head of Sweden’s top financial watchdog, points to the recent banking scandal in France, saying that markets are changing so quickly it is vital that regulators have staff who understand the complexities involved.

This, she tells the Reuters news agency, means paying salaries that can compete with those in the market.
