Gold for Stefan Holm

It has been a successful weekend for Sweden’s sportsmen and -women.

Skier Anja Pärson won her 38th world cup race in Crans Montana, Switzerland, defeating Germany’s Maria Riesch and Lindsay Vonn of the United States.

At the indoor athletics meeting in Valencia, Spain, three-time world indoor champion Stefan Holm landed another high jump victory with a leap of 2.36m – equaling his own world leading mark this season.

And Johan Wissman claimed two silver medals after coming second both in the 200m and 400m race.
