Opposition: Spring Budget Is Irresponsible
As expected, the opposition has roasted the center-right coalition government’s spring budget.
Thomas Östros, economic spokesperson of the Social Democrats, the biggest opposition party, called the budget irresponsible.
In a time when interest rates are high, investments low and the state suffers from a lack of skilled manpower, the government has failed to address Sweden’s most crucial problems, Östros said in parliament. He accused the government of what he called wasting the economic boom conditions when it came into power.
Östros added that his party will present a shadow budget which will focus on qualified vocational training, small businesses and the environment.
