Neo-Nazis Allowed to Campaign at School
Banning Neo-Nazi organizations from school might infringe with the freedom of speech.
Sweden’s Chancellor of Justice Göran Lambertz has now ruled that a school in Köping did wrong when it excluded right-wing party National Democrats from a podium discussion. The principal had explained the ban with his school’s democratic ideology and thus only invited non-radical parties.
But according to the Chancellor of Justice the school should have either excluded all the parties or invited all of them – including the National Democrats.
The Chancellor adverted to the fact that the freedom of speech is a high value in this country and should therefore apply to all political organizations.
