Swedish Bank to Help Baltic Companies

Published fredag 2 maj 2008 kl 12.29

The Swedish SEB Bank has announced that it is setting up a specially-trained crew to offer rescue services for companies running into credit trouble in the overheated economies of  Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Observers see that as an emergency safety measure for the Swedish bank itself - since Swedish banks have made enormous investments in the Eastern Baltic region  and are blamed for overheating the economies by providing so many loans to businesses there.
