The world’s third largest offshore wind turbine farm was inaugurated at Lillgrund outside Sweden’s southern coast recently. The addition of the 48 turbines has proved that wind energy is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to sources of renewable energy in Sweden. But as Azariah Kiros finds out from Gunnar Fredriksson of the Wind Energy Producers’ Association, the road to success was quiet bumpy.
