Oscar-winning Swede Visiting Home

Published torsdag 12 juni 2008 kl 15.00
Per Hallberg at the Oscar ceremony

Only 3 Swedes have been honoured with as many as 2 Oscars at those glittering Hollywood ceremonies - 3 for director Ingmar Bergman, 2 for camera man Sven Nykvist, and now 2 for sound man – Per Hallberg.

The first, back in 1995 for ”Braveheart” - about the doomed Scottish rebellion against the British colonizers, and this year for the ”Bourne Ultimatum” – with blood-thirsty CIA agents in a deadly and violent chase to exterminate a renegade killer colleague - a film who’s sound work won that 2nd Oscar for Per Hallberg - who joins us today at Radio Sweden in Stockholm - on his way back or forth from his 2nd home on the Swedish Baltic island of Öland..
