Sweden’s Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt is to be in the stadium in Innsbruck on Wednesday as Sweden’s national football team face a crucial match in the European Football Championships against Russia.

If Sweden lose the match they are out of the championships, after also losing Saturday’s group match against Spain. If they draw or win, then they go on to meet the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.

Reinfeldt was due to visit Vienna for talks with Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer ahead of the EU summit starting on Thursday, but Gusenbauer moved the site of the meeting to Innsbruck to give his Swedish colleague the chance to watch the match.
