How does the Swedish moderate conservative Prime Minister feel about the situation ahead for the European Union - now that the Irish referendum has rejected the proposed Lisbon treaty…?

Especially since his center-right government coalition has rejected opposition voices here demanding a Swedish referendum on the treaty - preferring to leave the controversial question more safely in the hands of the Swedish parliament.

And how does he think this will effect Sweden’s position when it takes over the rotating EU presidency next year?
