No Proper Care for Swedish Diabetics

Published tisdag 17 juni 2008 kl 12.12

A Swedish medical report claims that diabetics are not getting proper care all over the country.

The report from the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in the west coast city of Gothenburg claims that top level care is given only in a few provinces – while others fall below an acceptable level.

The report adds that new research claims that proper treatment for high blood pressure is crucial in diabetes care.

Another medical report claims that one of 10 hospital patients are infected with the extra hard-to-cure bacteria during their hospital stay – and that separate rooms for patients would be a big help in avoiding infections.
