Cyprus President Holds Talks With Swedish PM

The President of Cyprus was in Sweden on Friday holding talks with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt.

After the meeting, Dimitris Christofias said that he was optimistic about settling a peace agreement in Cyprus but that talks needed to stay cool.

The island has been divided between Greece and Turkey since 1974 when Turkey invaded in response to a coup aimed at uniting the isalnd with Greece.
