Mats 'Sudden' Sundin

Swedish hockey legend Mats Sundin is joining the Vancouver Canucks. Sundin announced his long-awaited decision Thursday night, several months after leaving his job as captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Stockholm-born Mats Sundin has played seventeen seasons in the National Hockey League, first in Quebec, then in Toronto. The 37-year- old has three world champion titles and one Olympic gold medal with Sweden’s national team Tre Kronor. In Vancouver he will join four other Swedish players: Daniel and Henrik Sedin, Mattias Öhlund and Alexander Edler.
