Swedes Living Abroad Fail to Pay Debts

Published tisdag 30 december 2008 kl 10.06

Swedish public auditors claim the state will loose billions of dollars over the next few years by Swedes living abroad failing to pay their social security debts or student loans.

The auditors insist that the debt collection enforcement is too weak, noting that 9 of 10 Swedes living abroad are not properly paying their welfare insurance payments and that 1 of 4 don’t repay their student loans.
