Swedish Film In Line For Oscar Nomination
The winner of best film at Monday’s Swedish Film awards, Jan Troell’s ”Everlasting moments,” could be in line for an Oscar nomination in the best Foreign film category.
The veteran director’s film, set in Sweden in the 1900’s, has made it onto a short list of 9 after the Academy narrowed the field down from 65 eligible titles.
The Swedes will have to wait though until January the 22nd to find out if they’re one of five Oscar nominees to make it to the Academy awards, which take place in March.
”Everlasting moments” won five awards at the annual Swedish Film awards, the ”Gold bugs.”
