Government Splits Over Gay Marriage
Three parties from Sweden’s center-right coalition government today presented their final proposals on the gender neutral marriage law which will now go to parliament for a vote. The proposal means that gay and lebian couples will also be able to marry in Sweden as of May 1.
The fourth member of the ruling alliance, the Christian Democrats, are against the law, and held their own press conference this morning.
