Sweden Could Stop Green House Gases

Published tisdag 27 januari 2009 kl 10.22

Sweden can eliminate almost all of its green house gases in the next 30 or 40 years – if all cars are run on electricity instead of gasoline, low-energy light bulbs are used, and new technology is applied in heavy industry.

This is according to a new environmental report from the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences – which also argues that Sweden can make these changes on its own without having to be dependant on energy-saving measures abroad.
