Not so organised snowfight

Who are Sweden’s best snowballers? On Thursday this will be settled in Luleå, in the north of Sweden. For the first time ever, Sweden will take part in the Japanese sport yukigassen, an organised snowball fight.

Playing the game, teams compete against each other in a snowball battle with the objective to conquer the other team’s flag. If a team member is hit by a snowball, they are immediately disqualified.  The team that wins the competition will represent Sweden at the Nordic Championships in Vardö in March in Norway, and at the European Championships in Finland later on this spring.
