Carl Bildt

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said in his blog on Wednesday morning that although the formation of the new Israeli government is likely to take time, it is important that the quest for peace in the area shouldn’t be held back more than necessary.

Bildt believes that a clear political stance from the US and EU could prove beneficial in order for the Israelis to form a government with realistic peace aspirations.

He is expecting to discuss the situation in the Middle East while taking part in foreign political meetings between the EU and Russia in Moscow on Wednesday.
