First Stieg Larsson Crime Film Premiers
Friday sees the premier of the first film based on the late Swedish author Stieg Larsson’s Millennium crime trilogy.
Larsson died of a heart attack in late 2004 at the age of 50, a year before the trilogy was published. The books have become worldwide bestsellers, with more than 10 million copies sold and translated into more than 30 languages.
Based on the book called in English “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, the first film opens in Swedish and Danish theatres Friday.
