World’s Largest Computer Festival

Published lördag 11 april 2009 kl 11.11

The world’s largest computer festival has opened in Gothenburg.

The Dreamhack festival is expected to attract around 3000 visitors, generally between the ages of 15 and 25, over a three day period. Most bring their own computers and 800 at a time can link into one of the world’s largest local networks.

Those who get tired of competing in Counterstrike and other games can watch films or listen to music.

Organizers say Dreamhack proves that computer freaks are highly social, dismissing the cliché that they are loners hiding in their bedrooms.
