Swedes In Favour Of Euro
For the first time since the referendum in 2003, more Swedes are in favour of adopting the Euro, than are against. The new poll, carried out by SIFO for Swedish TV news, shows that if there were a referendum today 47% would vote ”Yes”, while 45% would vote ”No”.
In the referendum 6 years ago 56% voted ”No”, while just 42% voted ”Yes”.
The Swedish government is in favour of dumping the Krona and introducing the Euro, but have ruled out the chances of a new referendum before the next election in 2010.
