Insufficient Data on Children’s Medicine

Published tisdag 21 april 2009 kl 11.27

A new Swedish medical study claims that 2 out of 3 medicines for children lack the proper documentation and have not been tested on young patients.

This leaves doctors in this Nordic nation without the correct printed information found in many other countries to help them make the right decisions.

The report concludes that doctors here have extensive experience in treating children – but are years behind other colleagues elsewhere in the knowledge of special medical risks dealing with youngsters.
