Easier to Hunt Wolves in Sweden
The conflict continues here over preserving the growing wolf population in Sweden and reindeer-raisers and farmers wanting to keep the number down.
The Swedish minister of the environment says hunting licenses for wolves once on the verge of extinction here will be handed out to include more than just those wolves attacking livestock.
Decisions are to be made by the local governments closer to those concerned rather then state authorities.
The minister adds that measures are to be taken so that those few wolves coming over the border from Finland are not shot - to avoid inbreeding of the small but growing number of Swedish wolves.
