Three Swedes in Air France Crash
Three Swedish citizens, two women and one child, residents in Norway and Brazil, were on board the missing Air France-plane, according to the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The plane, an Airbus 330, left Rio de Janeiro on Sunday night with 228 people on board, and it should have landed in Paris on Monday afternoon. But during the morning there were reports that it had entered an area of strong turbulence and heavy thunderstorms.
On Tuesday search planes of the Brazilian air force sighted debris in the Atlantic, close to the area where the Air France plane had disappeared from radar.
