More Swedes Vote Ahead of Election
More people are voting in advance in the EU-election than did so in the last election to the European Parliament. By Tuesday morning, five days ahead of the real election day, 357.000 Swedes had already voted, which is 65% higher than at the same time in the last election in 2004.
Compared to earlier elections, there are more places to cast your advance vote this year. In 2004 people, to vote in advance, you mainly had to go to the post office. Now, voting takes place in everything from libraries and shopping malls to old people's homes and parish houses.
